Wildcat Base Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Morson Technical Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to join their team at RNAS Yeovilton.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and apprentices in the maintenance of the Wildcat helicopter fleet. This will involve ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with published procedures and instructions, and that the team is trained and authorized to perform their tasks.

Main Activities and Tasks

  1. Lead a team of technicians and apprentices in the maintenance of the Wildcat helicopter fleet.
  2. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with published procedures and instructions.
  3. Supervise and train technicians and apprentices to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks.
  4. Monitor and control the use of authorized tools and equipment.
  5. Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required.
  6. Carry out independent inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
  7. Perform other duties as directed by the appropriate manager.

Requirements

  1. Must have served an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Service equivalent Trade Training.
  2. Must possess a thorough knowledge of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
  3. Must have experience of leading a team and supervising technicians and apprentices.
  4. Must have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and regulations.
  5. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
