Clinical Practice Educator (Registered Nurse DC2) Opportunity

Interior Health Authority has a casual Clinical Practice Educator (Registered Nurse DC2) opportunity available at our East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.

Job Summary:

  • Provide leadership in the delivery of nursing education and instruction to staff and patients/clients based on adult education principles and philosophy within a specific clinical specialty (Critical Care/Emergency/Perinatal) or patient/client population.
  • Apply nursing theory, advanced knowledge, and leadership concepts in providing clinical guidance and resource support to staff.
  • Assist the Manager in establishing and maintaining standards of care and in providing and participating in continuous quality improvement environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in the application of the nursing process in the provision of patient/client care.

  • As a Clinical Practice Educator, you will play a key role in shaping the nursing practice and education within our organization.
  • You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide education and support, and contribute to the development of our nursing policies and procedures.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and leadership, and be able to provide guidance and support to staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
