Technical Lead for Fluid Systems

About the Role:
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and developing functional engineering solutions that meet complex cross-functional interactions and requirements. Your expertise in fluid systems design and development will be instrumental in shaping the Mechanical Platform Systems for the next generations of Nuclear Submarines.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications that meet product demands.
- Collaborate with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios and use cases.
- Perform and review engineering calculations and analysis to inform design decisions and demonstrate system performance.
- Develop and present design evidence to justify safe and effective designs.
- Co-ordinate with stakeholders to solve complex engineering problems and make informed decisions.
What You'll Need:
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects.
- Chartered Engineer within a recognised engineering institute.
- Background in Fluid Systems Design.
- Ability to create design documentation and present it to customers and wider groups.
- Skill in solving complex engineering calculations.
