About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to join our team as an Ultrasound Imaging Director. You will be responsible for leading our Fetal Medicine Service, providing high-quality care to patients, and ensuring the appropriate imaging, reporting, and management of patients are achieved.

You will be expected to perform and independently report fetal ultrasound scans, and liaise with the lead clinician and centre director as necessary to develop the fetal medicine service, strategy, planning and development.

This role involves coordinating the training and supervision of sonography students, and being involved in local and regional ultrasound strategy planning and development.

Requirements
  • Registered Midwife with the NMC or Registered Radiographer with the HCPC.
  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or BSc (Hons) Midwifery (or equivalent).
  • Master's degree or working towards, i.e., established pathway and able to provide evidence of academic achievement at this level.
  • Post Graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound with extensive post graduate clinical experience in fetal ultrasound at Band 7 level.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification with experience of training staff.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD).
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
