Pallet Truck Operative Job Description

At AC Goatham & Son, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Pallet Truck Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely operating powered pallet trucks to transport goods within our production area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload pallets from vehicles and storage areas
  • Operate a handheld scanner to ensure accurate data recording in our internal database
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dispatch area through regular cleaning and adherence to our clean as you go procedure
  • Report any damaged or missing goods, non-conformances, or accidents to relevant managers
Requirements:
  • Experience operating powered pallet trucks
  • Ability to work in a cold store environment with temperatures ranging from 0-5 degrees Celsius
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high levels of hygiene and health and safety standards
