We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Director to join our team in the London area. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale residential construction projects from a technical standpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project preparation process and ensure timely sign-off.
  • Brief, manage, and drive external consultants to prepare and issue production information on an agreed programme.
  • Develop technical specifications aligned with land acquisition budget and technical/sales meetings.
  • Ensure statutory enquiries, crossovers, sewer connections are submitted and pursued for timely return.
  • Oversee NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval.
  • Evaluate working drawings against approved Planning Scheme.
  • Prepare Health & Safety Plans.
  • Monitor and control production information in close liaison with the Development Estimator to maintain tight cost controls.
  • Coordinate preparation of Brochure Plans, Conveyance Plans, and Sales Area drawings.
  • Attend site progress meetings and conduct site inspections.
  • Participate in project meetings at various stages (Land/Technical hand-over, Project Meeting, Optimisation, Technical/Sales, Budget Meetings).
  • Liaise with internal and external parties to facilitate coordination.
  • Conduct Subcontractor interviews.
  • Address site queries and resolve Technical/Construction items that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Essential experience in developer or main contractor roles.
  • Experience working on large multi-unit RC frame/traditional build residential projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial construction, including design flair.
  • Familiarity with complex mixed-use Regeneration projects.
  • Aworking understanding of Building Regulations, Code for Sustainable Homes, NHBC, Party Wall Awards, and associated legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, meeting, and management skills for effective collaboration with multi-disciplined teams.

Salary and Benefits:

£72,500 - £77,500 per annum, including car allowance, pension, healthcare, life insurance, and bonus opportunities.
