Job Title: Day Services Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Day Services Manager to join our team at Acorn Farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our day services program to ensure that the aims of the new personalization agenda are met.
Main Responsibilities:
- Service Coordination: Ensure that the standards set by the Department of Health for Day Services are met.
- Service User Reviews: Organize outcome-focused service user reviews on a time scale as requested by the purchaser.
- Service Reviews: Attend service reviews with purchasing organizations.
- Service User Support: Review service user support plans on a regular basis.
- Incident Management: Manage incidents, including liaising with support staff and service users, writing incident reports, and reporting back to the CEO as necessary.
- Service User Satisfaction: Conduct an annual service user satisfaction survey and liaise with relevant staff to ensure that requested changes are implemented.
- Data Gathering: Gather and submit data as requested by purchasing organizations.
- Annual Reports: Prepare annual reports as requested by purchasers.
- Marketing: Market our day services provision program to new customers.
- Service User Recruitment: Recruit new service users to ensure that the program is running at maximum capacity.
- Staff Liaison: Liaise with other day services staff regarding new referrals to ensure a smooth introduction to our service.
- Documentation: Design new documentation as required.
- Information Management: Regularly update, in an accessible format where appropriate, all information and documentation relating to our day services provision.
- Support Staff Cover: Provide holiday and sickness cover on the farm site for support staff in areas of animal care, horticulture, and maintenance.
- Professional Development: Keep abreast of new developments in day services provision and ensure that Acorn Farm is at the forefront of such developments.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that our service provision is in line with current strategies, such as Valuing People Now and Valuing Employment Now.
- Meetings and Events: Attend relevant meetings and organize events relevant to outcomes, such as health promotion and employment.
- Service User Support: Liaise with other professionals to assist service users to move on from our service to achieve their outcomes.
- Student Management: Recruit and manage students on placement, such as trainee social workers or occupational therapists.
- Tender Bids: Complete tender bids from purchasing organizations.
- Property Safeguarding: Safeguard the property of the Association as entrusted to your care.
- Data Protection: Act in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance, where appropriate, on the application of company policy and procedure.
- Training and Development: Attend relevant training, staff supervision, and staff development reviews.

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB):
Successful candidates will be asked to undertake an enhanced criminal background clearance check as part of the recruitment process.

Terms and Conditions:
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: 35 per week (Mon – Fri 9am – 4pm)
Holidays: 23 days plus 10 days [to cover the 8 bank holidays and 2 additional discretionary days over the Christmas period.]
The post is subject to a six-month probationary period.
