About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dietetic Apprentice to join our dynamic paediatric team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. As an Apprentice Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to gain a broad experience in paediatric dietetics while training to be a registered dietitian.

Our team provides comprehensive dietary services to children with complex medical needs, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work as a Dietetic Support Worker, supporting qualified dietitians in providing nutritional advice and support to children and their families.
  • To undertake a 3-year apprenticeship leading to a BSc (Hons) degree in Dietetics, enabling registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a registered dietitian.
  • To participate in mandatory higher education study and complete additional study commitments outside of work hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic background in a relevant subject area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of child nutrition and healthcare principles.

Location

This role is based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, a regional centre for children's health services in the South West of England.
