Company Overview:
We are a leading company in the fuels additive industry, committed to scientific development, testing, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality products throughout the UK. Our team is based in Shrewsbury, and we are now seeking an Assistant Technical Manager to join our technical team.

Salary:
The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. A company car or cash allowance is also provided, along with a comprehensive pension scheme, health insurance, death in service provision, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Job Description:
The Assistant Technical Manager plays a critical role in the future growth of our organisation. Key responsibilities include managing the product portfolio, developing products based on industry, business, and customer needs, and providing technical support to customers and production staff. The successful candidate will lead the fuel testing service, oversee laboratory staff, train staff in the technical basis of our product range, and represent the company at relevant industry events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in a chemistry-related discipline and demonstrable practical laboratory experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as a high level of accuracy and flexibility. Computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet searches, are also required. Experience working in the industry is preferred, but not essential.
