Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team as a Senior Staff Nurse. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

The Interventional Radiology department at Great Ormond Street Hospital is a dynamic and innovative team that provides a wide range of procedures for children from all specialties. Main Duties
  • Provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families.
  • Act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation within the department.
  • Assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department within allocated resources.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and rotate into the list coordinator role as required.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in paediatric nursing, with a relevant honours degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
