**Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 8-18 who have a primary SEN diagnosis of Autism (ASC / ASD) and other learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have experience of offering support work to pupils with ASC/ASD and comorbid conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and mental health needs. You will be confident in working with children who can demonstrate challenging behaviours and have experience with MAPA or Team Teach.

We offer a competitive salary of **£28,000 - £35,000 per annum**, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a dedicated SEN Consultant, access to our 'Refer a Friend' scheme, and opportunities for career development.

The role involves:

  • Supporting pupils with autism and other learning difficulties in the classroom
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Encouraging pupils to engage with education and promote positive interactions
  • Responsible for personal care of some pupils

**Requirements:** A teaching assistant with experience of working with young people with ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Emotionally resilient and able to promote happiness, self-reliance, and encourage positive interactions.
