CapeClarke Limited is seeking a qualified solicitor with experience in defending motor crime inquests and regulatory matters to join its team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze prosecution evidence, considering implications for clients.
  • Draft statements of insured witnesses and review client evidence.
  • Liaise with courts, coroner's offices, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with experts, instructing and summarizing their evidence.
  • Prepare and serve defense case statements, sentencing bundles, and mitigation bundles.
  • Draft written submissions and liaise with clients regarding prosecution cases.
  • Review transcripts of evidence and organize conferences and meetings.
  • Attend interviews, trials, and inquests, drafting notes of evidence and outcomes.
  • Research relevant HSE guidelines and client procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct.
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with experience in motor crime defense and regulatory law.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent client relationship-building skills.
