Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the Dispensary department at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary, working closely with our pharmacy team to provide excellent patient care.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Pharmacy Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring efficient setup and running of the department.
- Dispensing medications for in-patients and out-patients, double-checking accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
- Providing patient counselling, guiding patients through their prescriptions and ensuring they leave feeling informed and reassured.
- Maintaining pharmacy stocks by ordering and requisitioning supplies from the Pharmacy Store as required.
- Supporting the chief or senior technician in overseeing dispensing services to ensure seamless operation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Experience in dispensing and supply of medicines, computerised dispensing and stock control
