At Lineage Logistics, we are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team as a Mentor/Assessor. This role is based at our Seaham Facility and will involve working closely with Transport Managers to support employment and annual assessments for new drivers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all new drivers are competent and familiar with our vehicles, equipment, and depot procedures. This will involve driving HGV vehicles safely and accurately, as well as assisting with new driver interview assessments and carrying out on-road employment and annual driver assessments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Driving HGV vehicles to complete daily driving functions safely and accurately, in compliance with company H&S procedures and Working Procedures.
  2. Assisting with new driver interview assessments.
  3. Carrying out on-road employment and annual driver assessments.
  4. Mentoring new drivers on-road with vehicle, trailer, and equipment familiarisation.
  5. Ensuring drivers are familiar with tachograph compliance and usage.
  6. Completing assessment reports for completion of assessments and onboarding, or re-training.

We are looking for a qualified HGV Class 1 driver with a valid CPC, a clean driving licence, and excellent tachograph and incident records. Experience of mentoring and knowledge of health and safety, driver compliance, and documentation completion are also essential.
