Advanced Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

The NHS Highland ANP service in Raigmore Hospital is expanding, introducing new roles to enhance the ANP and medical workforce. Our service consists of 19 qualified ANPs, 6 Trainee ANPs, and 9 Assistant Practitioners, providing 24-hour cover across acute inpatient wards, excluding level 2/3 areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced practice skills in clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, and diagnostic decision-making.
  • Lead, deliver, and evaluate care, ensuring effective practice learning and transferable work-based learning.
  • Prescribe medication, utilizing non-medical prescribing skills, and maintain current Advanced Life Support certification.
Requirements

Applicants must have acute hospital experience at advanced practice level, holding a Master's level qualification in Advanced Practice. Consideration will be given to learning and development needs required for this post, which may not be necessary in the candidate's substantive role.

Successful applicants will be supported by an ANP Lead/Practice Development Nurse, with opportunities to work across both Raigmore and NTC-H sites.
