About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioners. As a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under close supervision to gain experience across healthcare and community settings
  • Deliver low-intensity mental health interventions to adolescents and their parents
  • Provide assessments and interventions in 1-1 and group settings
  • Co-facilitate workshops and engage in service development activities
  • Attend weekly clinical skills and case management supervision, as well as group supervision and line management meetings
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Motivation to learn and be challenged, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Good self-reflection and self-awareness skills, with the ability to use feedback constructively
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to split time between university and in-service work
  • Experience of working within a mental health setting and/or school pastoral care
  • Experience of working with children and understanding how to communicate effectively with them
  • Commitment to using data and relevant measures to assess clinical outcomes
  • Ability to use computer software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
