About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services, including negotiating, drafting, and advising on a variety of key Group-wide supplier contracts for both IT and other operational services.

  • Negotiating commercial contracts with external suppliers to ensure they align with the Group's requirements.
  • Supporting transitional services agreements and intra-group service arrangements to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Helping the business resolve performance or other contractual issues arising from ongoing supplier arrangements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Ensuring projects are aligned with regulatory requirements and providing strategic advice on horizon scanning.
  • Identifying key legal risks and advising on their implications for the Group, providing proactive solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Supporting the team's initiatives to provide training on relevant legal topics, sharing your expertise with colleagues.
  • Managing external legal counsel effectively, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of legal services.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate for a UK jurisdiction or equivalent legal qualification. You will also need experience of negotiating commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements, and technology agreements, as well as strong commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
