European Road Freight Operator - Job Overview

Our client, a specialist international freight forwarding firm, is seeking a Freight Operations Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role offers excellent progression and training opportunities, with a competitive salary of £28,000 - £34,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipment details with customers and overseas agents.
  • Organise and plan loads while coordinating with hauliers to ensure efficient transport routes.
  • Prepare and raise the necessary export documentation to facilitate trailer transit through UK ports and European borders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years in road freight operations.
  • A good standard of education.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience with trade lanes: Covering all of Europe.
  • Sound knowledge of both import and export processes (road).
  • Proficient in using computer systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
