Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary school students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, SEND, SEMH, and ADHD needs in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Assist students with their academic progress and personal development through one-to-one or small group support.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment by supporting classroom activities and implementing effective behavior management strategies.
  • Help students develop independence, confidence, and essential social skills.
Requirements:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role as SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and caring approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
