About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Meallmore's Alderwood House care home in Dumbarton. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents, adhering to their individual care plans and promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist in creating a positive and supportive environment, encouraging residents to participate in activities and engage with their peers.
  • Collaborate with care staff to ensure seamless delivery of care and support, adhering to Meallmore's standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and empathy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, working closely with the care team to ensure resident needs are met.
Requirements
  • SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Kind, caring, and compassionate nature, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of residents and the care home.
