About the Role

Vivid Resourcing is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team in a leading Town Planning Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies, preparing planning applications, and providing advice and guidance on planning and land use to a variety of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Planning Strategy: Develop and implement effective planning strategies to meet client needs and achieve project goals.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including leading house builders, developers, land promoters, investment institutions, and local planning authorities.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining a strong network of contacts and relationships.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Chartered Town Planner with a good Town Planning degree or related qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in preparing planning applications for the public and/or private sector.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and written skills, strong team working ethic, IT literate in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ideally some GIS experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and a proven ability to problem-solve and work under pressure.
