About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Aberbeeg, a low secure service for men. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a calm and pleasurable environment, where you will be able to manage your workload and your career. You will have the chance to interact with people outside the kitchen regularly, and be part of a dedicated kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation.
  • Ensure all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Contribute to maintaining operational hygiene standards and compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with the wider team, including dietitians, regarding dietary and planned meals.
Requirements
  • Relevant catering qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
