Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linguist to join our team at TransPerfect. As a Senior Linguist, you will be responsible for prioritizing linguistic tasks for various types of documents depending on Production needs and in accordance with your subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and uphold TransPerfect's quality standards to meet client expectations
  • Participate in and pass all required trainings, including subject matter certification, tech tools, TPT production processes, and Quality Assurance processes
  • Navigate company resources, including Confluence, Launchpad, technology, etc.
  • Perform linguistic tasks according to project specifications, including project instructions, reference materials, language assets (translation memory, glossary, style guide, etc.)
  • Follow internal and client processes on all projects
  • Work under close supervision of the Team Lead/a more senior member of the team
  • Achieve quality and efficiency targets as set by manager/supervisor
  • Complete other tasks deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
  • Native level of Russian
  • Cultural knowledge in both target and source language(s)
  • Flexibility with changes of priorities and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to multitask and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, results-oriented, self-motivated
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and focus under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Problem solving/critical thinking skills
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent and/or translation certificate
  • Must have successfully passed the Internal Linguistic testing in line with TransPerfect's TLC program
  • Prior translation/proofreading/copywriting/etc. industry experience
