About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing strategic expertise to ensure the effective management of technical and business services for our security tooling.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to take ownership of the implementation, transition, and ongoing support of our security solutions to meet business requirements and IT architectural strategy.

You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing technical and standards documentation to ensure a stable and consistent environment.

This role requires a high level of technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents or problems to meet operational IT needs and ensure business-as-usual service is maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain security solutions to meet business requirements
  • Provide strategic expertise to ensure effective management of technical and business services
  • Develop and maintain technical and standards documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents or problems
  • Ensure business-as-usual service is maintained
Requirements
  • Experience of Agile work practices and tooling
  • Dedicated hands-on security experience
  • Knowledge of systems management procedures in a large commercial, mission-critical environment
  • Capacity planning, performance tuning, proactive monitoring of solutions, Change control, release procedures, and tools
  • Experience of ITIL-based service management framework
  • Strong computer literacy and experience in using Microsoft Office products
