Finance Systems Accountant Opportunity

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is proud to be working in partnership with an established public sector organisation based in Edinburgh to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant for their office in Edinburgh.

About the Role

This role will provide great variety and training alongside an excellent salary and benefits package. As a Finance Systems Accountant, you will have the ability to shape the current system's changes within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the implementation of financial systems process changes and enhancements, ensuring effective execution.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and suggest enhancements.
  • Provide daily systems support, including access management, chart of accounts maintenance, and month-end processes.
  • Utilise risk management systems to manage and mitigate risks, ensuring the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and address their concerns and issues.
What You'll Need to Succeed

In order to be a successful candidate in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar position, have the ability to learn about new systems and processes, and be comfortable dealing with multiple internal stakeholders.
