We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Programme Delivery and Change Team within Digital Technology and Transformation (DTT) at Northumbria University. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio.
About the TeamThe DTT team is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of agreed strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio, aligned to the University Strategy. As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the DTT Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding and knowledge of project management and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a project delivery environment. You will be required to assist in ensuring that these projects are managed in line with the agreed DTT Project Governance process, including delivering regular reporting to provide progress to agreed delivery programmes, highlighting risks and issues to the project stakeholders and University Sponsors.
You will support the Project Manager in the delivery of the strategic projects through:
- Programme management and monitoring, highlighting delays and risks as and where necessary
- Management of the finances associated with the project in conjunction with the financial lead
- Management of risks, ensuring they are recorded and mitigated within the project risk log
- Communication with the project team and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and managed throughout the project life cycle
- Undertaking procurement in accordance with regulations to secure resource and requirements; and the management of these third parties
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the Estates team, services, and both technical and business stakeholders across the University, as well as external suppliers and third parties.
