Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Nursery Assistant to join our team at Sutton Valence Preparatory School. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and carrying out observations to support children's development
  • Providing input to nursery planning and promoting positive images
  • Keeping developmental records and evaluating children's progress
  • Ensuring the safety and security of children at all times

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Early Years Education and Care principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Early Years Education and Care
  • Experience working with young children in a school environment
  • Paediatric first aid certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
