Haematology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Haematology Consultant to join our exceptional team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a broad training in clinical and laboratory haematology and must hold full and specialist registration with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.

• Share inpatient responsibilities with other Haematology consultants to cover daily consultant-led ward rounds.
• Conduct 3 clinics per week at Royal Bolton Hospital.
• Participate in the on-call rota, providing advice and clinical help across hospital and community.
• Develop an area of special interest and take lead roles in various elements of the service, such as cancer care, laboratory haematology, anticoagulation, obstetric haematology, and clinical governance.

• Broad exposure to all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology.
• Experience of clinical audit, ability to supervise audit projects.
• Experience of teaching medical students and postgraduate medical trainees.
• Specialist interest in thrombosis/haemostasis or obstetric haematology.
• Experience as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials.
• ST or equivalent training in Haematology.
