Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Architect and Senior Developer to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

As an integration specialist, you will provide subject matter expertise in integration architecture and integration development technologies for a wide variety of systems. You will be responsible for designing and developing secure interfaces.

You will provide integration expertise that will assist system strategy and project management.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for the complex detailed design of the technical integration architecture for interfaces across the Trust and the NWL APC.
  2. Review and quality assure the interface design, development, documentation, and test plans ensuring that appropriate options have been explored and selected and adhere to the Trust standards.
  3. Present technical integration solutions to the senior management team.
  4. Provide expert leadership in developing technical integration and development solutions.
  5. Work independently and balance workloads according to the priorities set by the Trust.
  6. Analyze highly complex facts and options including financial and technical data.
  7. Liaise with clinicians and external organizations to enable them to understand/specify requirements.
  8. Participate in sensitive commercial supplier negotiations over technical issues.
  9. Contribute to identifying new and emerging technologies for processing and managing information.
  10. Act as the final arbiter of interface architecture within the integration team.
  11. Ensure interface architecture adheres to security and information governance standards.
  12. Support the Integration Manager in the development of Integration-related business cases.
  13. Provide and communicate in-depth specialist knowledge and expertise on system integration and interface development.
  14. Assess and communicate the impacts, risks, costs, benefits, and opportunities of IT solutions and integration architectures.
  15. Explore alternative approaches and prepare documents explaining solutions/architectures to stakeholders.
  16. Take long-term responsibility for the organization's IT integration architecture.
  17. Provide regular and ad hoc reports as required by the service.
  18. Support the quality assurance demands of the Trust.
  19. Occasionally work flexibly to meet service demands.
  20. Travel between Trust and NWL sites as required.
  21. Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate.
  22. Undertake any other duties requested as appropriate to the banding.
Requirements
  • Necessary technical expertise e.g. HL7, FHIR, SQL, Cache.
  • Necessary integration expertise e.g. HealthConnect.
Leadership and Communication
  • Experience in Management and Leadership.
  • Ability to work well in the Integration team.
  • Necessary communication skills.
Security Clearance
