Mental Health Practitioner Opportunity at HMP Guys Marsh

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Practitioner to take on a challenging and rewarding role within our Mental Health team. As an expert practitioner, you will provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders and work closely with the Primary Care team, Substance Misuse team, and Prison staff to ensure the overall well-being of offenders in their care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver specialist mental healthcare to offenders, working collaboratively with the Mental Health Team and wider mental health services.
  2. Develop and implement care plans, conducting thorough risk assessments and providing expert advice on mental health matters.
  3. Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Degree supplemented by diploma or specialist training
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as an RMN
  • Extensive clinical experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care
  • Supervisory experience, with a focus on developing junior staff and students
