Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £36,595.10 per annum, along with 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays. We also offer a range of non-contractual benefits, including Death in Service cover and access to private GP consultations.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who can work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain the smooth operation of our prisons facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, preferably as a plumber or equivalent, and be familiar with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent;
- Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements;
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems;
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements;
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent;
- Good Health & Safety knowledge;
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills;
