Job Summary:

Zapp, a leading digital-first, premium convenience retailer, is seeking a dynamic Senior Merchandising Manager to lead and build out our merchandising team. This role will be responsible for enhancing our product range, ensuring our platform remains the go-to destination for luxury convenience retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Content Development: Create and maintain engaging product content on the Zapp app and website, showcasing our premium convenience proposition.
  • Merchandising Strategies: Work closely with the Category and Marketing teams to plan and develop merchandising strategies, such as iconic collections, to drive sales and profitability.
  • Feature Development: Develop features on the online platform and app in close collaboration with the product and technology teams, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse sales data, customer behaviours, reactions, insights, and market trends to anticipate customer needs and inform merchandising decisions.
  • Catalogue Management: Define, set up, analyse, and report on the performance of the catalogue, ensuring optimal product offerings.
  • Long-term Development: Devise long-term development strategies for product categories, driving sustainable growth and revenue.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Approach decisions in a data-driven, strategic manner to optimise the catalogue offering and drive business results.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with the marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of product categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with procurement to ensure operational excellence and efficient product sourcing.
  • Revenue Growth: Assume responsibility for revenue, margin, and a great perceived catalogue, driving business growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in e-Commerce or digital merchandising.
  • Proven track record of creating successful merchandising strategies and managing product assortments.
  • A passion for customer experience, with a proven ability to translate customer needs into business strategy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills, including excellent knowledge of Google Workspace, particularly Looker.
  • A 'fly high & dive deep' mindset, strategic and hands-on at the same time.
