As a Functional Specialist with Donard Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid full-time or part-time basis, providing unbiased and comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP). You will be working with a leading multi-national employer, offering a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service to their customers.

What We Offer
  • A basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £45,650 through our quality and retention bonus scheme
  • Hybrid full-time and part-time working hours available
  • 12 weeks of training, tailored to your needs and learning style
  • 25 days of holiday per annum, rising to 27 days with service

Your New Role

As a Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end, delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports. You will assess a wide range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments. With time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings, you will have the autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.

Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic
  • 1+ years post-qualification experience
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
