About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CDM Principal Designer to join our team at Building Design Partnership Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of our projects with the CDM Regulations 2015.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide CDM PD support and advice to our multi-disciplinary design teams and clients during the design and pre-construction stages of various projects. This will involve collaborating with other design disciplines, managing and coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase, and sharing CDM knowledge across all professions.

You will be expected to deliver excellence, drive quality, and add value to our projects and for our clients. This will involve working concurrently on a portfolio of projects, using excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrating a collaborative team-working style and ability to meet tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar position, demonstrating strong construction background, design knowledge, and familiarity with construction health and safety. They will also have the experience and expertise to compile and review significant hazard and risk registers, design risk management, and PCI Info pack, and be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.
