Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Blackpool. As a key member of the school's support staff, you will play a vital role in providing consistent support for pupils who require additional help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a KS3 and KS4 classroom setting.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for pupils.
  • Use good behaviour management skills to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive team approach.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Good behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality support and assistance to pupils.
