Mencap is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers in Borehamwood. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping individuals to achieve their goals.

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact on people's lives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options

  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week.

Shift times

All our services are 24-hour care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your personal and social life.

  • Days: Between 07:00am and 10:00pm.

There is also a sleep-in available, where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £64.45.
