Warehouse Operative with Inventory Control Responsibilities

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing excellent customer service.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
- Maintain accurate records of pallets to prevent financial exposure and ensure compliance with agreed procedures.
- Proactively manage all stock movement documentation in line with company policies.
- Update warehouse management systems with relevant data following operational transactions.
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders on issues related to warehouse operations.
- Comply with quality, health, and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse database and schedules without compromising service levels or stock integrity.
- Provide general administrative support to aid efficient warehouse operations.
- Undertake additional duties as required to meet role requirements.
- Ensure personal and colleagues' health and safety by adhering to safe working practices.
- Attend training courses as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge.
