We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Investment Manager to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering our capital investment programme, making best use of our capex funding to achieve challenging income growth targets.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and develop the investment strategy to maximize revenue growth and adapt to changing business needs.
- Identify and evaluate capital schemes against agreed investment strategy, business plan, and defined investment criteria.
- Prepare and approve project remits and project management strategies before works are initiated.
- Manage and deliver target investment returns from capital enhancements, including necessary reporting, business planning, and liaison with delivery partners.
- Monitor the management and coordination of all consents necessary to deliver the investment, including planning, safety, fire, asset steward, and regulatory processes.
- Devise, analyze, and maintain business metrics for performance of individual investment projects and the programme, delivering on an agreed periodic basis.
- Provide quality data, records, and plans following completion of projects.
- Identify opportunities with developers, investors, and occupiers of adjoining property to leverage value from comprehensive investment projects.
- Offer best practice, professional expertise, and support on investment issues to clients and sponsors, constantly seeking to improve cost, programme, value, and quality measures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to promote and facilitate investment initiatives quickly and efficiently.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- MRICS or other relevant professional qualification.
- Experience of identifying, appraising, or managing the delivery of capital investment projects.
- Experience of financial modeling, analysis, and programme management.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
