Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Devonshire. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and stacking empty pallets
  • Moving stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions, checking loads are secure
  • Performing daily equipment checks, recharging the truck's battery, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks by hand
  • Other tasks may include collecting full bins and disposing of waste

Requirements:

  • Previous Warehouse Operative experience
  • Valid counterbalance licence
  • IT Literacy and competence in MS Excel
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre items of up to 22KG

Working Hours:

Day shift, with varying hours across two weeks, including 11-hour shifts
