Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Manager at Copperfields care home in Leeds. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursing and care colleagues, driving quality, and maintaining high standards of care on your unit.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the care and nursing teams to ensure the medical, physical, and emotional needs of residents are met.
- Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee and manage all clinical elements and risks on your unit.
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately.
- Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review, and update of their care profiles.
- Supervise and manage the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication.
- A thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care.
- An excellent range of clinical and communication skills.
- An enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.
- The ability to work confidently on your own initiative.
- A good standard of digital skills.
- A first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
- Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications.
