Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Kingdom People. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the plant's operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and improving overall production output.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Plant Efficiency: Ensure the site achieves and maintains the required GMP standards, and provide cover to the production department on a double-day shift pattern, with occasional weekend support.
  2. Perform Planned Maintenance: Responsible for the completion of PPM, updating the system, and offering feedback for improvement of the planned maintenance procedures.
  3. Address Emergency Breakdowns: Address emergency breakdowns, ensuring that all actions are documented in the CMMS (Shire).
  4. Overhaul Machinery: Overhaul machinery and sub-assemblies, ensuring their optimal function.
  5. Manufacture Machine Parts: Mark out and manufacture machine parts as required.
  6. Engage in Maintenance Activities: Engage in both electrical and mechanical proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
  7. Ensure Proper Communication: Ensure proper communication and escalation when further assistance is needed.
Plant and Equipment Efficiency

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for updating plant parameters and set points in line with site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). It will also be the responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to ensure that all plant and equipment perform efficiently, producing high-quality products.

Training and Continuous Improvement
  1. Train Others: Take an active role in training others as required for both development and regulatory purposes.
  2. Identify Training Needs: Identify your own training needs and work with your manager to create a timeline to meet those goals.
  3. Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Contribute to and implement continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing quality, safety, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  4. Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams: Participate in Continuous Improvement teams as necessary to drive ongoing enhancements to plant performance.
Shift and Hours

The Maintenance Engineer role operates on a double-day shift pattern:

  1. Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (Early) and 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Late).
  2. Friday: 6:00 am - 12:00 pm (Early) and 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Late).
  3. This is a 38-hour work week.
Salary
  1. Hourly Rate: £21.03
  2. Weekly Pay: £799.14
  3. Annual Salary: £41,555.28
