Working independently and as part of a team, you will support children in the home and out in the community, helping them to develop their independence and reach their full potential. We are looking for a caring and supportive individual who is passionate about working with children and young people. You will need to be a good team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with the children in your care.

We offer a comprehensive induction and training program, as well as ongoing support and development opportunities to help you succeed in your role.

About Us

For over 40 years, North East Autism Society (NEAS) has been providing care and education for autistic and/or neurodivergent children, young people, and adults across the North-east of England. We are a passionate and committed team who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a workplace where all differences are valued and respected. We believe that everyone has the right to be themselves and to be treated with dignity and respect.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a pension scheme, instant access to up to 40% of your salary as you earn it, and a range of employee discounts and rewards. We also offer a comprehensive employee assistance program to support your health and wellbeing.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people in our care, and we operate a safer recruitment process to ensure that all our staff are suitable to work with vulnerable groups.

We are Disability Confident Employer and guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for this job vacancy.
