Real-Time Electronics Engineering Opportunities

We are seeking highly motivated electronics engineering graduates to join our 13-week summer placement programme in Scotland. As an electronics engineer, you will work on real-time projects alongside leading scientists and engineers in a globally renowned company.

About the Summer Placement

The summer placement is designed to offer you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to become an engineering professional of the future. You will report to an experienced engineer who will provide day-to-day guidance and on-the-job training. You will gain experience on aspects of the development lifecycle that will include requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, applied research and test.

You will contribute to solving real-life engineering problems on state-of-the-art avionics sensor systems. Our summer placement programme is an excellent opportunity to learn about a Leonardo product through placement within a real project team.

Job Description

This role involves working on real-time projects alongside leading scientists and engineers. You will be responsible for developing the knowledge and skills required to become an engineering professional of the future.

Required Skills and Qualifications

All of our placement students should be working towards (a) a minimum of 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as an MSc or PhD. In all cases, the subject should be Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics or another relevant discipline.

You should demonstrate an interest in one or more of the disciplines within hardware engineering (e.g. RF, Microwave, Power supply, EMC, FPGA and high-speed digital).
