Ionate, a leading deep technology start-up, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our world-class team. As part of our efforts to revolutionize smart electricity grids, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing game-changing green technology.


About the Role:

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing power electronics circuits and systems, focusing on grid-connected inverter design. This will involve collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time and meeting ambitious product targets.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement power electronics hardware and circuitry for grid-connected applications.
  • Design and simulate systems, selecting components and conducting thorough testing to ensure FAT and SAT capacity.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, implement, test, verify, and troubleshoot power converters, data converters, ADC and PWM systems, thermal power electronics design, EMC/EMI mitigation, PCB design and layout optimization, and interfaces to transformers, controllers, filters, electromechanical systems.
  • Work closely with our quality assurance team to ensure safety, quality, and international standards are met.
  • Participate in technical development and testing across a multi-disciplinary team, including transformer designers, power electronics designers, control software engineers.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, such as requirements and specification documents, testing reports, and product manuals.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in power electronics design, preferably in high-power applications.
  • Familiarity with electronic and electrical components and their principles, integrated circuits, and high-frequency electronic systems.
  • Experience with laboratory and site-based testing using equipment like oscilloscopes, power analyzers, grid emulators, etc.
  • Able to design systems suitable for large-scale manufacturing and production.
