About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Flow Planner at Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our Aerodrome Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stand Planning and Management: Develop and execute daily stand plans to maximize the use of our pier-served stands, ensuring optimal efficiency and minimizing ground movements.
  • Air Traffic Management: Monitor live air traffic movements and dynamically manage arriving and departing aircraft to minimize inbound holding and pushback conflicts.
  • Disruption Management: Anticipate and respond to disruptions, adverse conditions, or other unplanned events to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that Gatwick Airport operates a just safety culture, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Produce operational data for analytical, investigatory, and statistical purposes, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of our airport operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders regarding stand plan-related enquiries.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Airport Operations: Have a solid understanding of airport operations, including air traffic management, ground movements, and safety procedures.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate high-level organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Experience in Airport Operations: Possess experience working in airport operations, preferably in a similar role or with a relevant background.
