Job Title: Tender Solutions Architect

This role offers a unique opportunity to join Morson Talent as a Senior Tender Engineer, specializing in Protection & Control solutions within the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector. With a strong focus on technical expertise and commercial acumen, you will play a crucial part in delivering Protection and Control systems that meet client requirements.


About the Role:

In this position, you will collaborate with Business Development Managers to provide technical support, including developing Protection and Control system architectures and preparing cost estimates. You will also ensure compliance with internal governance and tendering processes for bid submissions, conduct site surveys for T&D projects, and work with third-party suppliers to produce subcontract specifications and review their tender submissions.


You will be responsible for creating well-structured and competitive proposal documents that highlight the company's differentiators within the T&D sector. With a strong understanding of engineering processes involved in developing and executing successful solutions, you will drive business growth and deliver high-performance solutions across the energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Protection and Control system architectures and prepare cost estimates in collaboration with Business Development Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and tendering processes for bid submissions.
  • Conduct site surveys for T&D projects to understand scope, scale, and implementation strategies for Protection and Control schemes.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to produce subcontract specifications and review their tender submissions for compliance and value.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Protection and Control engineering, with a focus on software, hardware, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes involved in developing and executing successful solutions within the T&D sector.
  • Familiarity with Substation Protection and Control systems, as well as PLC/SCADA technology architectures.
  • Experience in tendering, with a reasonable level of commercial acumen and an ability to produce technically and commercially comprehensive proposal documents.

The estimated salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working options, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
