Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Childcare Assistant - Level 3. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our children, while also supporting the development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with families and update them on progress
  • Update notes on children's development and assess their stage of development
  • Plan activities in line with children's interests
  • Support staff members in their projects and activities
  • Cover all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing and toileting
  • Assist and support children during mealtimes
  • Have a natural interest in being outdoors

Requirements:

  • Ability to gain a clear DBS
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
  • Knowledge or familiarity with the Montessori philosophy and ethos
  • Level 2 in Childcare is desired but not essential
  • Experience in childcare is desired

Qualities Required:

  • Good communication skills for speaking with families
  • Desire to self-develop

Working Hours:

  • Whitchurch Montessori is open from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, all year round
  • Successful candidate will be required to work 38 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
