Investment Relations Associate

At Barings, we recognize the value of our associates and are committed to their growth and success. To support this, we have a dedicated Investor Relations Team that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to handle a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the team's email inbox and respond to queries from internal and external parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle dealing, settlement, registration, and waiver queries from transfer agents, performing duties in accordance with regulatory and market practices.
  • Assist clients with the accurate completion of subscription forms, maintenance of registration details, and renunciation details in liaison with transfer agents.
  • Fulfill requests from distributors, fund platforms, or data vendors for the completion of fund data templates and questionnaires accurately and within required timescales.
  • Liaise with external vendors to request UCITS KIID documents and action ad-hoc and annual KIID refresh and validation.
  • Run quarterly LP transfers and monitor multiple reports received from transfer agents and third parties, escalating findings as necessary.
  • Lead and/or participate in team or business projects and assist in the production and maintenance of procedures and checklists for various processes.
  • Interact with transfer agents to assist with the resolution of periodic AML refreshes and oversee multiple transfer agents, including attending regular service review calls and assisting with escalated issues/incidents.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in asset management in a client support/service or similar role.
  • Completed the Investment Oversight Certificate (IOC) or equivalent industry qualification.
  • Fund or transfer agency background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to apply it consistently.
  • The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and handle multiple queries from clients, administrators, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to challenge existing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
