The Thrive Group is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Master Technician to join their team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves undertaking the maintenance and repair of a range of vehicles, machines, and plant equipment to the required quality standards, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned service and safety inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and recommend cost-effective repairs.
  • Repair vehicles/equipment as instructed by management.
  • Conduct auto electrical repairs and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
  • Order spares at stores and maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Attend breakdowns and undertake vehicle/equipment recoveries when necessary.
  • Occasionally collect spare parts from suppliers and manoeuvre vehicles as required.
  • Complete time sheets, job sheets, service sheets, and inspection reports in line with Council Policy, 'O' licence compliance, and good practice.
  • Undertake steam cleaning of vehicles prior to repairs and take vehicles to specialist repairers when needed.
  • Take vehicles to MOT and DOE test stations, rectify minor failure items, and repair tools and equipment within the workplace.
  • Carry out welding fabrication and repairs and diagnose vehicle defects to aid colleagues and categorise repairs.
  • Adhere to the stated or implied requirements of the Quality Systems and undertake MOT testing as required.

  • Perform any additional duties commensurate with the level of the post.

This role offers a competitive salary of £16.78 per hour and a 4-day shift pattern, providing a great work-life balance.
