Consultant in Respiratory Medicine Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Royal Brompton Hospital. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Respiratory Infection and will be responsible for providing specialist respiratory infection management to outpatients, day cases, and inpatients.

Main Responsibilities

The Consultant will work collaboratively with consultant physicians to provide high-standard clinical care in host defence, staying at the forefront of the field. Key responsibilities include advancing the service, contributing to research and audits, and participating in teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Job Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent qualification. Higher degree (PhD, MD etc). MRCP or equivalent. On the Specialist Register of The GMC or within 6 months of eligibility at the time of interview.
  • Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in relevant speciality. Post-CCT experience in respiratory medicine and chronic lung infection. Ability to take responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
  • Teaching skills. Ability to conduct clinical audit. Ability to initiate and supervise research. Broad range of IT skills.
